Go Georgia welcomes new staff

Go Georgia Executive Director John Devine announces the addition of Elliott Caldwell and Reid Davis to the organization’s staff this month.

Elliott Caldwell, who returns as engagement coordinator, was complete streets coordinator and executive director of Georgia Bikes (now Go Georgia) from 2016 to 2021. Caldwell will split time between Go Georgia and his ongoing work as the regional initiatives manager for the East Coast Greenway Alliance, which leads the development of a 3,000-mile trail system from Maine to Florida.

Reid Davis, communications and outreach manager, joins Go Georgia after serving as a communications contractor at Propel ATL, where he helped publicize “The Human Cost of Mobility,” that organization’s annual analysis of Metro Atlanta traffic violence. From 2021 to 2024 he worked at CARE, documenting humanitarian work around the world.

“Elliott and Reid bring tremendous experience, energy, and perspective to Go Georgia, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the team,” Devine said. “Their expertise and commitment to making Georgia a better, safer place to walk, bike, and roll will make our staff stronger and expand what we can accomplish together.”

Both Caldwell and Davis are longtime cyclists and advocates. Caldwell, who lives in Athens, has been involved in cyclocross for nearly 20 years as a racer and event director, and has worked extensively in the bicycle industry as a mechanic, courier, and bikeshare worker. Davis, an Atlanta resident, rides road, gravel, and mountain bikes with various local groups, and runs most daily errands on an e-bike.
