Applications Now Open for TA and CMAQ Funding!

September 22, 2025

Go Georgia is pleased to share that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is accepting applications for both Transportation Alternatives (TA) and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) funding now through October 31, 2025.

TA supports funding for complete streets and other active transportation projects such as dedicated on-road facilities, road diets, and pedestrian streetscape improvements. CMAQ supports projects aimed at reducing transportation-related air pollutants; project examples include roundabouts, intersection improvements, and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.

Eligible applicants for both programs include cities, counties, transit agencies, regional transportation authorities (including MPOs), natural resources or public land agencies, school districts and individual schools, tribal governments, and other local or regional governmental entities such as regional commissions.
